Abstract

Teachers are an important part of the educational process, the role of teachers as mentors, facilitators, mediators, and motivators for students. In education, there are many fields of learning, one of which is history learning. Learning with local history content expects students to have concern for historical events in their environment. The role of the teacher is needed to increase students' enthusiasm for learning history. Local history learning is not in the 2013 curriculum, but is integrated into history learning. The role of teachers can preserve local historical heritage and awaken the younger generation not to forget historical events.
