Abstract

Fulfillment of basic human needs is always moving, whether temporary or permanent. In historical terms, nomadic activities require a tool to take people to their destination. This tool is called transportation. The development of transportation began with land transportation, which to this day continues to be development-oriented. In the history of transportation, the development of transportation has moved very slowly, evolving and changing little by little. Namely, starting in 1990-2000, motorbike transportation became widely known, and more and more people liked it. In Banyuwangi, many people have private vehicles such as motorbikes and each house makes it easier to carry out every activity. Using private vehicles is indeed more practical and in terms of costs, people can save expenses. This is certainly interesting to research "Developments in Motorcycle Transportation in the 1990-2000 Era". The methods and approaches of this research are qualitative and historical, in this method, there are heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography.
